Onboarding Process

The steps involved in connecting MEWS to your SCB environment are outlined below. The expected onboarding timeline is 2 to 3 business weeks, starting from the moment your MEWS setup is correctly configured and the connection variables requested by Omniboost are provided.

  1. Request the SCB connection via the MEWS Marketplace.
  2. Omniboost’s Onboarding team will contact you within three business days with further instructions.
  3. Finish your MEWS setup.
  4. Provide Omniboost with the requested connection variables.
  5. Omniboost to setup the connection.
  6. Omniboost to send test Statistic entry files.
  7. Validation of test Statistic entry files by the hotel accounting team.
  8. Omniboost to activate the SCB connection. Omniboost’s Onboarding team will be able to assist you throughout the entire onboarding process. The Omniboost Support team will ensure full quality control and maintenance of the connection after activation.

The Swedish Statistics (SCB) by Omniboost integration is suited for hotels only. The integration is not available for hostels, cabin resorts or private rental service providers. The connection transfers the Statistics entries through an automatically generated export file.

Standard Connectivity - Data transfer details

The Standard MEWS to SCB connection transfers the below entries:

  1. The number of available rooms (or beds).
  2. The total number of rooms (or beds).
  3. The Accommodation revenue total.
  4. A Market Segment breakdown.
